Notes About This Appearance

• Queen's first live appearance on national US television – and also their last.
• According to Peter Freestone, Freddie was up all night prior to the show, engaged in a screaming match with his then-lover. Needless to say, Freddie was particularly hoarse at this appearance.
• The band were to have been introduced by guest host Chevy Chase, but due to his absence, were instead introduced by replacement host Danny DeVito. Parts of this introduction can be seen on the video anthologies Magic Years and Champions Of The World.
