Notes
- Recorded at Trident Studios during June 1969, Earth was part of a recording session for Mercury Records' A&R man, Lou Reizner, who had seen the band live two months prior and wanted to give them a chance. Incidentally, he worked for Mercury America, and Smile's one-off single deal was for the United States, where nobody had ever heard of the band. (This similar method worked for Deep Purple's debut single, 'Hush', so it was hoped a similar result would occur.) Predictably, though, the single went nowhere, and Tim parted ways with Brian and Roger.
